Kulinchenko R. Clinicomorphological characteristic of temporomandibular joints in the presence of dentition defects.

The clinical part of this work contains the determination and analysis of the temporomandibular disorders (TMD) structure. It was established that in group of patients who were evaluated for the purpose of revealing TMD, the women/men ratio was equal to 6,1:1,0 correspondingly. It was revealed that TMD patients may suffer from several different forms of disorders simultaneously. The non significant influence (p>0,05) of existed dentition defects with different varieties of loss of occlusive support zones on muscular disorders, internal disorders, arthritides of temporomandibular joints (TMJs) was substantiated. The structure peculiarities of heads, discs and eminence-fossa complexes of TMJs extracted during autopsy were investigated in the morphological part of this work.The schemes of roentgenogram decoding of different types of structure of extracted TMJs were elaborated. The significant influence (p<0,05) of existed dentition defects with different varieties of loss of occlusive support zones on location of a greater volume of cartilaginous tissue of the disc as to the articular head was substantiated on the side of dentition defect, which is more likely indicates on compensatory response of the disc.
