Hnativ N. The thematic organization of instrumental works of Paul Hindemith

The thesis is devoted to instrumental works of P. Hindemith in the aspect of their thematic organization. This concept is interpreted as a multi-level space-time interaction of all the thematic elements in limits of the defined system and provides the investigation of structural and procedural specifics of the thematic invention. These two components were included to the method of the individual style analysis of the thematic invention, that was developed in the thesis. The investigation of the P. Hindemith’s instrumental works is based on this method and includes studying of their genre resources, construction and style specifics, citing principles, functions of thematic repetitions and features of the introduction of new themes. For the first time an importance of the palindrome in the organization of P. Hindemith’s instrumental themes is accented and also the new vector of the consideration of thematic processes is used, that is fixed in the concept «thematic rhythm».
