The research presents a theoretical synthesis and solves the scholarly issues of category, which finds expression in covering the semantic, structural, stylistic and functional properties of names of people in the world-view of German. This study is a contribution to linguistic semantics, including the laws of language units functioning, explaining the dynamics of values in the language system and elucidating the semantic and stylistic evolution of nominations of persons in the system of the world-view of the language. The thesis stands as a study of word-building and semantic peculiarities of nouns-neologisms denoting people in Modern German.
