Essay

This dissertation aims at improving the efficiency of diagnosis of ischemic heart disease (IHD) and process of left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infarction. Cardiovascular imaging techniques - multidetector computed tomography (MDCT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were used to comprehensively study 106 patients with chronic IHD. The results obtained from MDCT were highly informative (sensitivity - 87,5 %, specificity - 95,4 %, accuracy - 93,7 %) in the diagnosis of coronary atherosclerosis in patients with chronic IHD.
