The thesis presents a new quantitative, mathematical and statistical approach to measure the productivity of lexical and semantic innovations in Italian and Ukrainian discourses; there was calculated the efficiency of productivity of ways of formation of lexical newly-formed words, borrowings and semantic transformations based on mathematical formulae; there were listed loan words by means of their adaptation in the recipient languages; there was estimated the frequency of productivity of the models and micromodels of formation of lexical newly-formed words, semantic transformations and ways and means of the adaptation of loan words in media discourses of the Italian and Ukrainian languages.
