Meniv O. Legal regulation of the use of GMOs for growing agricultural products of plant origin in Ukraine and the EU.

The dissertation is devoted to research of the nature of legal support of the use of GMOs for growing agricultural products of plant origin in Ukraine and EU. There are examined the scientific and regulatory approaches to understanding what is GMOs in their use in plant growing in Ukraine and EU, proposed the principles of legal regulation of GMOs use in growing agricultural products of plant origin as well as described the development of legislation in this area. Special attention is paid to the legal basis of the use of GMOs in plant growing, responsibility for violation of legislation in this area. There are proposed the suggestions to improve the legislation of Ukraine on the use of GMOs for growing agricultural products of plant origin taking into account experience of the EU countries.
