The thesis is a complex historical and religious study that discovers the pecularities of performance of both traditional and nontraditional religious denominations in Chernivtsi region during 1944-1985. The thesis reveals that religious life in Chernivtsi region during these decades was marked by certain pecularities and was different from religious life in other USSR regions. Such pecularities were determined by several factors. First of all those were geographical factors.
