Posvaliuk K. Artistic activity of Mykola Berdyev in the context of development of playing on trumpet in Ukraine (1940–1980 years)

Thesis is devoted to the works of the famous representative of Ukrainian school of trumpet playing, Honored Art Worker of the URSR, Professor M. Berdyev. This is the first study that examined the works of the famous master in combination of three its components – performing, pedagogical and composer. There are determined characteristic features of M. Berdyev’s style in the context of establishment and development of Performance School department of wind instruments at P. I. Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatoire (P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine), is made periodization of phases of creative development of the famous musician. There are described features of each of the areas of works of M. Berdyev – who was performer, teacher-methodologist, and composer. It’s the first time in Ukrainian musicology there were analyzed his all works of different genre. Noted that the works of the artist in all its components are important contribution to the development of Ukrainian and world playing on trumpet in the second half of XX century and its study and practical use is one the urgent tasks of the modern Ukrainian musicology, pedagogics and performance.
