Shakurova О. The origin of Ukrainian people in historiographical discourse of late XIX - early XXI century.

In the dissertation on a wide and diverse historiographical material at a conceptual level achievements of Ukrainian scientists of late XIX ? early XXI century of the origin of the Ukrainian people were investigated. The author proposed and theoretically grounded periodization of the knowledge accumulation of the declared theme. Detailed analysis of the concepts prehistoric, early medieval and late Middle-Ages origin of Ukrainian ethnos was done. The classification of concepts of the Ukrainian ethnogenesis is given. It is emphasized that historiography of the Ukrainian ethnogeny is highly important and relevant historical theme. But despite its importance there are no special generalized analyses of the history of knowledge development about the problems of the Ukrainian ethnogenesis in modern national science.
