Pavliuk I. Professional Language of Fitness (based on English lexicographical sources and specialized texts).

The thesis considers the concepts of professional language, term and term system. The stages of the development of the English professional fitness language are revealed and described. The term system has allowed singling out terminological fields as well as microfields and determining the combinatorial potential of terms. The term-building characteristics of fitness terms including semantic, morphological and syntactic ones have been studied. The texts have been studied from the viewpoint of term saturation and term frequency. The analysis of similarities and differences in the structure, morphology and syntax of specialized texts on fitness has been carried out.
