The thesis is devoted to the solving of the scientific task, which consists in a development of methodical concepts and applied aspects of the improvement of the extractive enterprises' mechanism of adaptation to the external environment. In the thesis the essence and role of adaptation in industrial and commercial activity of the enterprise have been defined. The structuring of the enterprise's adaptation mechanism to the external environment has been conducted. The principles, functions and approaches to the implementation of the enterprise' adaptation mechanism have been specified. The methodological approaches to the assessment of external and internal environments in the process of adaptation have been analyzed. The indicative method of evaluation of enterprises' adaptability condition has been proposed. The features of the extractive industry enterprises functioning have been considered. The diagnostics of extractive industry enterprises' external environment factors has been conducted. The indicative method of evaluation of extractive industry enterprises' adaptability condition has been implemented. The ensuring system of the extractive industry enterprises' adaptation mechanism has been identified. The methodical approach to the adaptation type substantiation has been proposed.
