Essay

The thesis focuses on structural, semantic and pragmatic features of the English Environmental Protection terms. The composition of the terminology and structural types of its units have been described. 11 thematic groups of the researched terms have been determined. Such lexical-semantic processes as synonymy, antonymy, polysemy taking place in the English Environmental Protection term system have been also distinguished and characterized. Some aspects of terms’ functioning in professional articles have been described, structural and semantic models have been analyzed with the aim of standardization of the researched terminology.
