Danilova Y. Improvement appliance-surgical method of treatment for tooth malalignment

The work presents an experimental and clinical substantiation of a new solution of an important task of dentistry and orthodontics, namely, improvement of efficacy and reduction of the terms of orthodontic treatment of patients with abnormally located teeth using appliance-surgical method applying corticotomy and the original appliance with abutment on a mini-implant with the use of physical factors and drugs. To substantiate the directed and accelerated shift of the teeth in adolescents and adults it is necessary to meet the following conditions: creation of unmovable abutment, with respect to which teeth shift is performed; creation of orthodontic appliance with fixation on an unmovable abutment; creation of the way for directed tooth shift in the bone tissue. The findings of the performed investigation allowed creation of a scheme-algorithm of complex treatment of the patients with tooth malalignment in the constant bite. Clinical application of appliance-surgical treatment demonstrated reduction by 20 weeks of the active period vs. orthodontic treatment of patients with tooth malalignment.
