Parkhomenko O. Optimization of diagnostics of diabetic maculopathy

The object of study: diabetic maculopathy (DMP). Objective: To optimize the DMP diagnostics in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) complicated by diabetic retinopathy (DRP). Methods: clinical, ophthalmological, statistics. Supplemented by scientific evidence of ischemic form of DMP, scientific data on the types of macular edema in diabetic patients with DMP. Expanded scientific information on the diagnostic value of autofluorescence method for DMP. Supplemented by scientific data on the diagnostic value of E edema index in studies on HRT of eyes with DRP. Expanded scientific information on the effectiveness of devices used for the diagnosis of diabetic macular edema. Developed and put into practice: analysis of algorithms for estimation of SOCT results; computer program "Diagnosis of eye diseases of various etiology"; new, safe diagnostic and screening methods of DMP; DMP diagnostic algorithm; method of determining of ischemic form of DMP. The results of the work are implemented in 7 ophthalmological medical institutions of Ukraine, and the main thesis were included in the work program of lectures and practical training of departments of ophthalmology in 3 institutes of higher medical education of Ukraine.
