TThe thesis is devoted to methodological, theoretical and applied problems of legal and administrative legal safeguards road safety. In a study identified and described the main criteria for the classification of administrative and legal safeguards road safety and also due to the content of road safety and made categorical analysis of its components as factors affecting safety in road traffic. The analysis of international norms, reflecting the major legal and administrative safeguards road safety. The paper summarized and systematized provisions concerning control and supervision, prevention, administrative proceedings, law enforcement and discipline in the activities of the administrative jurisdictions as administrative and legal safeguards road safety.
