Essay

The study dwells upon the improvement of approaches to suppressive therapy with cabergoline as well as assessment of its effectiveness and safety on the basis of studying age- and sex-related characteristics of the disease clinical course, analysis of prolactinoma secretory and proliferative activity with consideration of hormonal and metabolic disorders caused by organic hyperprolactinemia. Object of study - isolated a prolactinoma. The aim of study based on identified characteristics of clinical current and hormonal-metabolic disorders in patients with prolactinomas, to justify the approaches to suppressive therapy and to evaluate its effectiveness. Research methods: clinical, anthropometric, immune-enzyme, biochemical, x-ray, radiation, ultrasound, mathematical (statistical). In this paper a new solution of urgent scientific and practical problems of endocrinology - the extension of modern ideas about the tactics of suppressive therapy with cabergoline in patients with organic hyperprolactinemia. In the thesis first proposed as integrated assessment of the original clinical and hormonal status to evaluate the partial secretory activity, total secretory activity and rate of tumor growth of the adenoma for the choice of tactics and mode of therapy with cabergoline in patients with prolactinomas. Improved algorithm of diagnostics, treatment and dynamic monitoring of patients with prolactinomas, which allows on the basis of own researches and considering international recommendations to optimize therapy and achieve a stable remission of the disease after 12 months of observation. The research results implemented in practical work endocrinologists, general practitioners - family medicine in medical facilities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava city and regions of Ukraine (Sumy, Сarpathians).
