Essay

The object of study: structural strength of the compound thin-walled structures with joint elements during operation. Objective: develop and implement methods for solving problems of structural strength analysis of the compound thin-walled structures with joint elements based on geometrical, physical and structural nonlinearity. Methods: using the finite difference method and finite element method to simulate the stress-strain state of the compound thin-walled structures; Theoretical and practical results: the regularities of the influence of specific parameters to be varied on the stress-strain state of thin-walled engineering designs. Novelty: develop methods for analyzing strength of composite thin-walled structures with bolted elements based on nonlinear mathematical models of stress-strain state during operation and structural, geometric and physical non-linearity; modification of the system of resolving equations of longitudinal-transverse bending of the compound rod, which is in the procedure of averaging of internal forces tension-compression along the length of the rod; developed a method for solving systems of nonlinear algebraic equations, based on the modification of the method of simple iteration; set of deformation features of the system of two rods connected by bolt fasteners under transverse load. The degree of implementation of the results: research implemented into the practice of design and research works "Karlovskii Machine-Building Plant" and the research of the NTU "KPI". Scope of use: machine-building industry.
