Essay

In the thesis the scientific principles of forming the development strategy of river ports of Ukraine are considered and offered main theoretic - methodical provisions on its realization. Economic essence of containerization and peculiarities of the usage in the river ports is exposed by means of distinguishing ecological component of the logistic system. The world tendencies of containerization of cargo flow are investigated and summarized in sea and river ports and current state of shipping complex development of Ukraine is explored. The potential of the development of river ports of Ukraine is appraised, brought to light the problems for attracting container cargo flow in the ports, given proof of perspective directions of port development. The methodical approach for forming the development strategy of river ports of Ukraine is worked out on the principles proposed the Conception of eco-transportations that allows decreasing environmental load at freight transportation taking into account interests of all participants of transport-logistic process. In the thesis the methodical approaches are formed to realization of diversification strategy in river ports that envisages the evolution of available competitive advantages with the help of opening new routes and by expansion of cargo range. It is well-proven the realization of strategic development plans is possible on the basis of forming of quality port infrastructure and by the use of marketing - logistic approaches assisting cargo flow re-orientation from other types of transport with the purpose of optimization of transport system work and river ports. The substantiation of expediency and cargo flow re-orientation from other types of transport to river transport to be suggested carrying out using port provider, to the functions of that behave: collaboration with potential clients, control container traffic in the port transport - logistic system, multiservice maintenance of container flow and other service operations. The software product "Effect" and imitation-optimisation models are worked out for calculating level of readiness of port logistic system to realization of transportations that allow giving proof of accepting administrative decisions.
