Object of research: Physico-Chemical and Technological processes of formation of bioactive glass-ceramic coatings on titanium alloys. Scientific novelty: glass ceramic coatings in the R2O - RO - RO2 - R2O3 - P2O5 - SiO2 system on titanium alloys for bone implants were scientificaly substantiated and experimentally obtained. The formation mechanism of the coatings has been established which consists in formation of sybotaxic groups such as [PO4] 3- in the glass melt at mass ratio of CaO / P2O5 = 2,0 - 2,6 and R2O / P2O5 = 1 - 4, as well as [OH] - [CO3] 2- and [F] - groups, and subsequent crystallyzation of coatings in conditions of short-term thermal treatment at (870 - 930) ° C. It is determined that the rapid formation and stable existance of the apatite layer in a living body with a composition of calcium-deficient non-stoichiometric hydroxyapatite having an atomic ratio of Ca / P = 1.51 - 1.53 at the glass-ceramic surface coatings can be implemented at a ratio of Si:Ca:P = 1,00:(4.00 - 4.05):(2.60 - 2.68). Implementation: Coatings were tested in the Detzem DP "South Railway" laboratory (Kharkiv), at the Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine (Kharkiv), as well as in the NRU "Ukrainian Research Institute of Environmental Problems" (Kharkiv).
