The scientific problem of the dynamic speed error minimization by the multi-criteria optimization of the speed controller transfer function coefficients for the turning machine tool main motion drive is solved. Main motion speed control device structure is developed, which provides the minimization of the speed dynamic error and satisfies the requirements of the complexity and practical implementation of the proposed controller. Functional dependences of the speed controller coefficients on such transients quality factors as the magnitude of the dynamic error and speed recovery to a predetermined value time by the step loading condition are determined.Coefficient calculating method of the main motion drive speed controller is developed, which provides the minimization of the dynamic speed error of 2.5 times compared to existing and widely used PI speed controller. The efficiency of the proposed control law is experimentally proven and the confirmation of the implementation economic feasibility in terms of the small-scale production is received.
