The thesis is devoted to systematic and thorough study of the theoretical and legal foundations of labour protection. The paper defined the concept, nature and signs of labour protection, explored the historical and legal analysis of labour protection. Particular attention is paid to the current state of legal regulation of labour protection and the trend of it's development. The paper examined the concept, content and features of labour protection principles. The author withdrawn their system and described content of each. The concept, features, types of labour protection and their legal status are defined. Analyzed foreign experience of the organization and activities of labour protection subjects and proposed ways of its borrowings in national legislation.
