Quint V. Assessment of productive qualities of sheep Taurian Type Askanian fine fleece breed of different body structure.

Dissertation is devoted to studying the selective genetic features of sheep Taurian Type Askanian fine fleece breed of sheep different structure of body. New data regarding the distribution and level of development of productive and reproductive traits of domestic Merino sheep breeding, which belong to different classes on constitutional symptoms, were obtained. It is established that allocation of animals in the study population according of their constitutional exterior parametres corresponds to the laws of stabilizing selection. For the first time shown that the best meat qualities differ ewes of rough type of body structure, and they have also higher levels of genetic variation and therefore the animals of strong type have better adaptability to environmental conditions.
