Essay

The paper is focused on the organizational and legal mechanisms of the government regulation of bank supervision in Ukraine in the framework of transformation of the national banking system on the path to the European integration. The process of bank supervision based on the risk assessment was considered. The author highlighted the need in bringing existing approaches to bank risk management according to the existing international standards. The author justifies the complex mechanism of the government regulation of bank supervision in Ukraine, which is to achieve the goals of bank supervision and increase its effectiveness. Recommendations to improve performance of the bank supervision were provided.
