Essay

The Dissertation is devoted to bandura playing in Ukraine, in particular, to its academic direction as a cultural and art historical phenomenon. Found out the basic stages of his development. Pedagogical, performance activity, specific of repertoire of leading soloists-bandura-players and bands of Ukraine, is analysed. Comparative description of performance features of bandura collectives is given (on the example of trio "Verbena", trio "Kupava" and sextet of "Enchantress").
