This dissertation is concerning on questions of proving of circumstances that characterized an accused (suspect) person in the pretrial proceedings. The place of circumstances that characterized an accused (suspect) person in the fact in proof, their structure, content and connection with other fact in proof's elements have been defined. Foreign countries criminal procedure legislation has been studied. Procedural order of gathering, examination and appraisal of actual data on accused (suspect) person as well as proving peculiarities in the criminal proceedings related to juveniles and forced medical measures employment onto specific categories of people have been disclosed.
