This research focuses on ways to improve the efficiency of gnathic form of mesial bite orthodontic treatment in children during transitional and permanent periods of occlusion by improving diagnosis and usage of orthodontic appliance for the treatment of mesial bite with a face mask.The prevalence and frequency of mesial bite (MB) among children and adolescents 6 to 17 years was determined in this study. A map-scheme for the diagnostic evaluation of patients with MB was developed. Diagnostic criteria for establishing the degree of severity of the MB based on clinical, anthropometric and cephalometrical research was defined. This allowed selecting a rational plan of orthodontic treatment and increasing its positive prognosis. Clinical and radiological classification of mesial bite was established.The new own complex of orthodontic equipment for the treatment of mesial bite was designed, patented and clinically tested. It was conducted mechanics and mathematical model to prove the effectiveness of the proposed orthodontic appliance for gnathic form of mesial bite treatment. It is proved that the usage of this activator can increase the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment and shorten treatment due to the simultaneous effect on the pathological type of bite, pathological state of mastication and mimic muscles, abnormal breathing.Increasing of treatment efficiency of gnathic form of mesial bite and the upper jaw micrognathia patients for all types of facial skeleton bone growth during active growth of dentoalveolar apparatus with designed appliance was approved by the method of lateral cephalometry quadrilateral analysis by Di Paolo, especially was marked high quality results at a horizontal type of growth patients.
