Essay

The work deals with the topical issue of the protection of highway influence zones and other facilities with special requirements to the quality of the air environment from ingredient and parametric pollution from highways. To achive this goal the theoretical research of ecological indices of highways functioning with modelling of the traffic flow structure was carried. On the basis of experimental data the mathematical relationships were obtained which allow predicting the ingredient and parametric pollution depending on the intensity of traffic stream directly from the highway, and at certain distance from it. To protect the territories, which are situated near to the highways from ingredient and parametric pollution the Y-shaped screen is proposed, which combines transparent and sound-absorbing modules.
