Essay

The thesis for the candidate of engineering on speciality 05.14.02 - power plants, networks and systems. The National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", - Kyiv, 2016. Thesis is devoted to the development of methods and tools aimed to improve the efficiency of frequency control of electrical power systems considering renewable energy sources. In work, it was developed a dynamic model of Interconnected power System (IPS) of Ukraine, the use of which allows to consider the impact of renewable energy sources on the process of IPS of Ukraine frequency control. On the basis of the use of cluster analysis of synchronized measurement of electrical power system (EPS) transients modes it was improved the method of identifying of electrical power system invariant structure and proposed the method of forming a dynamic model of EPS on the basis of the analysis of the motion of inertia centers of coherent groups of generators. It was developed the method of EPS frequency control through the use of a dynamic model of the EPS which taking into account the mutual influence of coherent groups of generators, the characteristics of reserve management tools for loading and unloading and limits the changes of regime parameters in transient conditions when the frequency is changed. It was found that the use of the proposed approach could improve the efficiency and control quality during transient changes in the EPS frequency more than 1.2 times.
