Object - shielded quasioptical dielectric resonators in the mode of excitation of the whispering gallery modes by the planar waveguide. The goal - the search for new effective ways of whispering gallery modes excitation in the shielded quasioptical dielectric resonators, as well as the study of their electromagnetic characteristics. The high Q-factor values of shielded dielectric resonators by the planar waveguide using were obtained. The spectral characteristics of such resonators were improved. The field of application - the creation of millimeter wave devices with improved characteristics.
