The object of this study is to suffusion and karst carbonate rocks. The aim of the study is the hydrogeological characteristics of suffusion and karst in carbonate rocks of the Upper Cretaceous Svyatogorsk brachyanticline and the impact of these processes on the historic-architectural monuments (for example, Svyatogorsk monastery). The thesis highlights hydrogeological features of suffusion and Upper Cretaceous (K2t-cp) karst rocks on the example of Svyatogirsk brachianticline. The historical and architectural complex of Svyatogirsk monastery of 16-18 centuries located on loamy-Cretaceous rocks "chalk block" needs protection from the negative influence of geodynamic processes. Hydro and fluid-dynamic role of three genetic types of cracks found in rocks of "chalk block" has been well-grounded. On the example of Svyatogirsk monastery hydrogeological features of suffusion and karst carbonate rocks have been defined. These geodynamic processes develop in parallel because of groundwater physical and chemical action, respectively. In loamy-Cretaceous rocks of "chalk blocks" three genetic types of cracks have been identified: exogenous, lithogenic and tectonogenic which are the main circulation channels of both infiltration, and water pressure deep horizons that depending on the geochemical characteristics lead to suffusion phenomena or karst.
