The thesis is devoted to systematic and thorough study of the theoretical foundations of prohibitions and sanctions in labor law. The paper defined the concept, nature and signs of prohibitions in labor law, and clarified the legal nature of sanctions in labor law. Particular attention is paid to the types of prohibitions and sanctions in labor law, examined content of each. The paper revealed the genesis of the formation of the prohibitions in labor law. The author has drawn out application reasons of sanctions in labor law. Problems of legal regulation of sanctions in labor law are defined and deduced practical solutions. Analyzed foreign experience of legal regulation of prohibitions and sanctions in the workplace and proposed ways of its borrowings in national labor legislation.
