The present thesis is based on anthropocentric interpretive approach to the study of linguistic phenomena. It has been carried out within two scientific paradigms - namely systemic-structural (taxonomic) and cognitive. The fragment of the English language naїve and scientific world image that is verbally represented in the thesis as lexical-semantic field "blood" has been researched.
