In the thesis at the monographic level theoretical and practical aspects of investigation of crimes related to the establishment or maintenance of brothels and pimping nave been studied. The author has analyzed and summarized a considerable number of scientific studies.The author has classified sources of the initial information, the presence of which necessitates the registration of a crime and pretrial investigation. She has formulated typical investigative situation, the initial and subsequent stages of the investigation.
