In the thesis on the basis of the analysis of domestic and foreign references, the legislation and practice of its application, generalization of empirical data system research of the termination of criminal proceedings is conducted. The concept and essence of the termination of criminal proceedings, general provisions of the termination of criminal proceedings, basis of the termination of criminal proceedings which rehabilitate are researched and do not rehabilitate the person, an order of the termination of criminal proceedings by the investigating officer, prosecutor and court. A number of the offers concerning enhancement of the penal procedural statute regarding standard regulation of the termination of criminal proceedings is formulated.
