Essay

Object: pterygium . Purpose: to improve the treatment effectivness of patients with primary pterygium by limbal-conjanctival autografting with use of a high-frequency electric welding of biological tissues. Methods: histomorphological, clinical, ophthalmological, statistics; slit lamp; microscope. aparat EC300M1. For the first time it is proved, that surgical removal depth limbal fragment does not cause degenerative and proliferative process Also for the first time it was found that after the partial removal of limbal zone, combined with the use of n-heptanol applications on the background of additional fixation of conjunctival flap on the cornea, in this area - degenerative and proliferative process is developing, which corresponds to the clinical and histological signs of pterygium. For the first time it is proved that high-frequency electric welding of biological tissues of conjunctiva at a fixation of free limbal - conjunctival autograft, compared to sutured fixation in the experiment allows to reduce the swelling and vascularization of corneal stroma contacting with operated area. The results of research have been implemented in Ivano-Frankivsk regional clinical hospital and "SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of NAMS of Ukraine".
