Panchenko I. Implicit addressee reference in German-speaking discourse: structural, semantic and pragmatic aspects

The paper focuses on defining structural-semantic, pragmatic and discursive characteristics of utterances with an implicit addressee reference (IAR) in modern German dialogical discourse. The scientific methods base on the discursive pragmaliguistic approach, that actually focuses on the cognitive and the discursive lines of research. The scientific novelty of the research is determined by the introducing the concept of the IAR and the analysis of its structural-semantic, pragmatic and discursive characteristics in modern German dialogical discourse. The theoretical significance of the paper is determined by its contribution to the discourse studies, pragmatic linguistics, theoretical grammar and lexicology of the German language, the reference theories, the speech act theory, the implicature theory, the politeness theory, the communicative failure theory. The practical value of the obtained results lies in the possibility to apply them in teaching theoretical German grammar ("Pronoun", "Noun", "Passive voice / Verb", "Adjective", "Impersonal constructions", "Ellipsis"), lexicology ("Phraseology"), rhetoric science ("Persuasion"), general linguistics ("Language and thought"), communication studies ("Addressee factor"), courses in logic science, pragmalinguistics, psycholinguistics etc.
