Essay

Object of research: the processes of the intellectual processing of signals and signal images. Goal of research: the development of methods to improve the efficiency of signal detection and identification by radar complexes by means of intellectualization of signal information processing. Methods of research: the theory of intelligence, the finite predicates algebra, the comparator identification method and artificial intelligence methods. Theoretical and practical results: the development of: the signal processing information technology on the basis of the spectral-semantic and spatial-semantic models; the model of object detection and identification using a radar spectral image; the model of the formation and analysis of visual pictures of signals that change in time and space. Scientific novelty is the development of the comparator identification method in terms of the processes of the perception and transformation of signal information, the improvement of the information technology to process both signals and signal images by radar complexes that enables to increase a probability of correct identification of objects and consider a process dynamics. The Implementation: the results of the research are implemented in the Research Institute of Radar Systems "Kvant-radiolocatsia" (Kyiv), the Scientific Production Firm Optima Ltd (Kharkіv) and an educational process of the Department of Information Technologies and Mechatronics in Kharkov National Automobile and Highway University (Kharkіv). Application field: radar complexes and information decision support systems.
