The object of research is the process of sanation for agricultural enterprises which are on the verge of bankruptcy. The aim of the study is an underpinning of theoretical-methodological foundations and proposal development for improving the mechanism of sanation considering the specifics of agricultural enterprises. The scientific novelty of the research is to develop theoretical and methodological approaches to the improvement of the sanation mechanism of agricultural enterprises. The study was performed using the methods: analysis and synthesis, abstract logic, monographic, graphic, grouping, economic and statistical methods. Basic provisions brought to the level of specific teaching materials and practical advice. Scope of use - agricultural enterprises, governments, institutions of higher education.
