Essay

Generalization of theoretical principles of concentration of production and economic concentration in agricultural enterprises was done. The approaches to the interpretation of the core of these concepts were considered and their determination was given. Depending on the nature of the development of the process, its kinds and forms were shown and the indicators of measurement were substantiated. The analysis of the concentration of production and economic concentration was done, the relationship between the concentration of production and specialization of enterprises was investigated. The analysis and evaluation of the current form of concentration of land resources of the agricultural sector in Ukraine was provided, the indicators of concentration of production in dairy farming and grain production were substantiated. The methodical approach to the distribution of companies by their sizes - micro, small, little, medium, large and very large was proposed, that was allowed to provide an objective assessment of the activity of these companies and to differentiate their economic preferences. With the help of DEA method, the investigation of technical efficiency of concentration of production in agricultural enterprises by building input- and output- oriented models for resource and product factors and resource concentration with the degree of its intensity was provided. Recommended limits of marginal land using for agro-industrial units, that specialize in milk processing, and for agrarian formations with dominant agricultural production were substantiated.
