Essay

The thesis is devoted to development of complex alloying technology of titanium and zirconium. A new scheme of titanium and zirconium alloying at the magnesium thermal reduction proposed and a new design of reduction apparatus developed. The regularities of transition and content of alloying elements, depending on their initial amount in the stock established. Based on experimental studies proved that the cast and sintered samples doped with titanium sponge, which was obtained by the developed technology, have a high and stable mechanical properties compared to standard alloys, the main reason being the even distribution of alloying elements. Established that zirconium sponge obtained by the developed technology of aluminum content in the range of 5% to 20% by weight. is responsible for the content of the main components and impurities to master alloy of zirconium-aluminum. Experimentally confirmed that zirconium alloying of aluminum at the level to 2.2 wt%., of the developed technology, allows to lower the oxygen content in metallic zirconium to 1.5 times in the deoxidation refining using electron beam melting.
