Essay

The manuscript is dedicated to the investigation of Ukrainian versification of the 40s - 50s in 19th century from the point of view of metric, rhythm, strophe, rhymes and rhyming. The poetry-learning analysis of poetic works published from 1840 to 1859 was accomplished for the first time, the correlation of classical and non-classical forms of versification of the given period was found out, the comparison of main parameters of Ukrainian versification in the middle of 19th century with the similar data of Polish and Russian poetry of the determined period was held as well.
