Awuah A. The formation of patterns of choice by passengers on the trip route in urban traffic

Object - the process of choicing passenger route. The aim is to determine patterns of change in the probability of a passenger to choose the route depending on the actual waiting time of the vehicle at stopping point. Methods of mathematical modeling, field surveys, statistical analysis. The novelty – for the first time with the help of the developed scientific-methodical approach to definition of the probability functions for a passenger to choose the route, which differs from the known fact that it takes into account the changing attractiveness of alternative routes, depending on the actual waiting time of passenger vehicles at stopping points, revealed new regularities of distribution of passenger trips on sections of alternative routes. Based on the analysis of practical solutions and theoretical studies proposed to improve the accuracy of predicting the distribution of passenger flows on sections of the route network of city passenger transport to consider the effects of actual waiting time of passenger vehicles at stopping points on the function of the attractiveness of the routes. The results of the work applied for improving rolling stock on routes, Ltd. "Express" in Kharkov. The field is transportation of passengers.
