Essay

The thesis is dedicated to intensifying the process of soy-bean seeds drying through dissection of the seeds' surface. In the thesis the drying pattern is proposed in combination with the pre-drying treatment device. Mathematical model of moving soy-bean seeds with cone disc with linear guide blades taking into account the strength of the air flow is developed. Analytical dependence for determining the velocity of material in the predrying treatment device and necessary angular velocity of the disc considering the force of the destruction of the soy-bean seeds surface is derived. The simulation of heat and mass transfer in soy-bean seeds was carried out and the mathematical model of changing moisture content was obtained. The analytical dependence for determining the speed of drying considering the drying coefficient and essential (effective) seed size was derived. The mathematical model of changing moisture content of soy-bean seeds on radius and time is developed, the equation of drying kinetics considering the evaporation intensity from the open surface was derived. The influence of parameters of drying agent on the kinetics of drying was investigated. The justification of rational drying mode as well as its implementation was provided.
