The dissertation is dedicated to the scientific substantiation and development of theoretical and methodological principles and application recommendations for improving the scientific and methodological foundations assessment of the efficiency of rail transport in terms of reform. The object of the study is to measure the performance of rail operation transportu.Teoretyko and methodological basis of research based on the use of methods and approaches together: the method of dialectical cognition; methods theoretical generalization and system analysis; abstract logical method; methods of economic-mathematical modeling; methods of analysis and synthesis. The scientific significance of the results is to improve the scientific and methodological foundations assessment of the efficiency of rail transport in modern conditions hospodaryuvannya.Praktychne significance of the results is that the main conclusions and recommendations can be used in the process of assessing the efficiency of production and financial-economic activity of railway transport using modern scientific and methodological tools, so as to contribute to the balance and focus their development.
