Essay

The thesis deals with the investigation of elastic interaction between semi-infinite bodies with a regular set of grooves in the presence of a gas and/or a liquid inside periodically arranged intercontact gaps, and study of regularities of contact behavior of bodies with regular relief taking into account the mechanical action of the gaps filler. The formulated contact problems are reduced to singular integral equations for a derivative of a height of the intercontact gaps. To determine unknown geometrical and force parameters, one transcendental equation for grooves with corner points or set of such equations for grooves without corner points is obtained. The analytico-numerical solutions to contact elastic problems for bodies with regularly arranged shallow grooves of different shape (with corner points or smooth) and bodies with wavy surfaces are constructed in the case of various variants of gaps filling by a liquid and/or a gas. The features of contact behavior of bodies with the gas-liquid filler inside periodically arranged interface gaps under force load is analyzed, and the effect of the shape of the grooves, the amount of the liquid and the gas in the gaps, the surface tension of the liquid, its compressibility and wettability on the contact pressure, the height of the gaps, the pressures of the gas and liquid, the contact approach and contact compliance of the bodies is studied
