Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the issue of individually-psychological and sociohistorical components of artistic phenomenon of Solomiia Krushelnytska, a prominent Ukrainian singer of the end of XIX - the first half of XX century. Her diverse creative work is highlighted from a variety of angles supplementing each other, in particular, historical, sociological, gender, psychological, didactic, national and mental ones. On the basis of documentary sources and memories of near and colleagues, creative process reconstruction of the singer was done, its phases and elements, conditions and demands the singer put for herself, bases the singer received as a result of mastering different opera singing schools and principles she adhered to when working on each role or chamber work were traced.
