The present thesis analyses performance of ethno cultural stereotypes in modern German everyday joke in their synergetic unity which stipulates applying structural and semantic, cognitive and pragmatic, lingua cultural approaches. The special attention in the dissertation is drawn to the fact that it is the semantic structure of German everyday joke where the values peculiar to the German-speaking culture (physiological aspect, spiritual aspect, material aspect and social aspect) have found their reflection. Phonographic, syntax, lexical and semantic, discourse tools are employed to represent comic category in German community ethnic jokes.
