Essay

The research proved insufficiency of Private Roman law implementation and the importance of using Public law through ontological, gnoseological and axiological prism. Viewed from law ontology, real basis of Roman law in binary public and law aspect has been specified. From the point of gnoseology the sources of Public Roman law cognition of the Republic period have been scrutinized through correlation between public good and private interest. From the point of axiology the essence of values which formed public aspect of Republican Rome period was examined.
