Essay

Object: nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) in diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM). Purpose: to increase the efficacy of monitoring and treatment NPDR in DM type 2 by studing the glycosylated hemoglobin level, lipids exchange and its compensation. Methods: visometry, tonometry, biomicroscopy, gonioscopy, ophthalmoscopy, perimetry, fluorescein angiography, optical coherent tomography, biochemical. Expanded data about NPDR progression during the year in patients with DM type 2 in level of glycosylated hemoglobin more then 6,5 %. Supplemented straight correlation between level of glycosylated hemoglobin, MD and quantity of local defects in visual field. It was found significant correlation between lipids and the investigated figures. The method of prognosis of NPDR was proposed to patients with DM type 2. The efficacy of using atorvastatin and fenofibrat was estimated in NPDR patients with DM 2 type. The results of work were introduced in Kharkov regional hospital, Kharkov Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Lugansk regional centre of eye diseases and Lugansk State Medical University.
