Essay

On the basis of examination of 136 patients with HIV-infection we have detected that this illness is accompanied by functional disorders of the endothelium. A powerful reverse correlation between the amount of T-helpers and the level of endothelin-1 has been found (r=-0,78…-0,86), and an average direct correlation (r=0,47…0,55) between the number of CD4+-lymphocytes and concentration of nitrogen oxide in case of II-IV clinical stage of HIV-infection. In case of progressing of HIV-infection variable signs of bioelectric heart activity disorders, electrophysiological signs of negative changes of the myocardium remodeling and decreased variability of the cardiac rhythm are registered reliably more frequently. Administration of molsidomine, nitrogen oxide donator, during 3 months in a comprehensive antiretroviral therapy of HIV-infected patients contributes to a significant decrease of endothelial dysfunction, normalizing the distribution of the rate of potential difference changes in the period of myocardium repolarization and reducing sympathetic and intensifying parasympathetic effects on the heart rate and normalizing its bioreflexive regulation.
